Under the agreement signed in December, operators committed to introducing maximum retail price caps of 18 euros ($18.8) per 1 gigabyte from October 2023, 14 euros from 2026 and 9 euros from 2028 for two-way data usage between the EU and the Western Balkans. , according to an earlier statement from the Commission.
In June 2021, the leaders of the Western Balkan countries – Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo – agreed to remove roaming charges.
