KRUSEVO – The international youth conference “European values ​​for the future of South-Eastern European countries” will take place from September 30 to October 4 in Krusevo, North Macedonia

The Conference has existed since 2003 as a forum where 60 young leaders, youth workers and representatives of leading NGOs from 16 countries come together each year.

“This year’s conference will take place under the overall theme ‘Regional Transformation’ and aims to provide young people with answers to some of the region’s most pressing questions, focusing on European integration, at a time of challenges unprecedented,” the statement said.

The themes of the conference are linked to the EU Youth Strategy and the Conference on the Future of Europe, which will be attended by the European Youth Ambassadors from the Western Balkans.

The conference is expected to last five days and cover five different topics under discussion. The sessions are planned in the form of plenary sessions during which the different speakers will benefit from a specific introduction in a hybrid format, mixing both online and physical participation. In addition to the plenary session, three working groups are planned to formulate direct recommendations from young people to decision-makers which will be respectfully presented and disseminated to them.

The conference will focus on the following five thematic axes: step by step – a new European strategy for the region; ensure the European future of the region; the youth-led transformation of the region’s integration policy; sustainable and digital transformation of the region and financing the future of the region.

It will bring together up to 60 participants from the countries of the South-Eastern European region (North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey) and guests from youth organizations. partners from Germany, France and Poland in the role of mentors.
